Food Services Assistant

Casual position (Monday – Sunday AM/PM shifts)

Our Women’s Mental Health service in Elsternwick offers a safe and supportive environment for women on their recovery journey – and you can be part of that care. We are seeking a dedicated Food Service Assistant to join our team on a casual basis, Monday-Sunday AM/PM shifts.


As a valued member of our Support Services team, you may:

  • Prepare, deliver, and serve meals with care and attention to detail

  • Maintain a safe, welcoming, and hygienic environment for patients and staff

  • Assist with cleaning, kitchen duties, laundry, and stock management

What we’re looking for

  • Someone who is friendly, reliable, team-oriented and committed to safe practices and quality standards

  • Experience in food service, cleaning, hospitality, or similar roles (preferable)

  • Food Handler’s Certificate (or the willingness to undertake at Cabrini)

  • Knowledge of culinary and nutritional terminology including diet codes (preferable)

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, combined with the ability to build positive and professional working relationships
