As a Food Service Worker, you'll play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment and ensuring everything is prepared and stocked for an awesome service experience. You’ll greet customers, keep everything clean and organized, and assist your team to ensure every meal is served with a smile!

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Prep Like a Pro: Help set up the cafeteria and patient service areas to ensure everything is ready for service.

  • Friendly Face, Warm Welcome: Greet customers with a smile and make them feel at home!

  • Stock & Organize: Make sure all work areas are stocked with supplies and everything is neat and accessible.

  • Team Player: Work closely with your supervisor and teammates to make sure the cafeteria is running efficiently.

  • Safety First: Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines while maintaining a clean work environment.

  • Communication Superstar: Assist customers and patients by providing clear, friendly service.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Awesome Interpersonal Skills: You’ll need to be friendly and enjoy meeting new people, offering great service, and building positive connections.

  • Top-Notch Communication: You should have great written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to read and follow instructions.

  • Food Handler's Permit: You’ll need to have or be willing to acquire a City of Kansas City, MO, City of Independence, Jackson County, or Clay County Food Handler’s Permit within 30 days of hire (if you don’t already have it).

  • Physical Skills: You should be comfortable with tasks that require bending, twisting, reaching, kneeling, grasping, and fine motor skills like turning your wrists and fingers to perform tasks effectively.

Preferred Experience & Qualifications:

  • Education: A high school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
