Position Summary

Gateway Regional Medical Center is seeking a friendly, dependable, and service-oriented Food Service Worker Ambassador to join our Dietary team.

In this role, you will help create a positive dining experience for patients, staff, and visitors by providing excellent customer service, supporting meal service operations, and maintaining a welcoming environment. Your work will contribute directly to patient satisfaction and the overall hospital experience.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with people, staying active throughout the day, and being part of a team that makes a difference.

What You'll Do

• Deliver excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and team members
• Assist with meal preparation, tray assembly, and food service operations
• Serve meals while ensuring accuracy and quality standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in dining and food preparation areas
• Support patient satisfaction through positive interactions and attentive service
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
• Work collaboratively with dietary and hospital teams

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Certifications

• Food Handler certification required within 7 days of hire

Experience

• Previous food service, hospitality, retail, dietary, or customer service experience preferred
• Experience in healthcare food service is a plus but not required

Compensation

$15.00–$22.50 per hour
