Food Service Worker Job Description -- Ft Greely
General Responsibilities:
The principal responsibility of the Food Service Worker is to ensure the proper cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen and dining facility in accordance with the contract requirements, cleaning, disinfecting and/or sanitizing food service and dining room surfaces, washing dishes, sweeping, mopping etc., and may serve food to the military personnel
General Responsibilities:
· The cleaning, sweeping, and mopping of floors, cleaning of woodwork,
walls, windows, tables, counters kitchen and serving equipment.
· The washing of dishes, glasses, silverware, cooking vessels and utensils.
· Dining room bussing services as required.
· Ensure condiments and napkin dispensers are refilled.
· May clean and replenish beverage dispensers.
· Trash removal to disposal area and cleaning restrooms, entrance areas and back dock of dining facility.
· Must follow set procedures in accomplishing repetitive assignments and follow established sequence of work.
Additional Responsibilities:
· Share rotation duties for dishwashing and cleaning pots and pans.
· Comply with contract requirements and adhere to the Blackstone Consulting, Inc. policies, rules and regulations as set forth in the Employee Handbook.
· Comply with all HACCP standards.

· Duties may be assigned by the Project Manager or other designated personnel.
Qualifications:
· Ability to perform a variety of tasks associated with the preparation and serving of foods and beverages.
· Knowledge of sanitation standards.
· Demonstrated history of related Food Service preferably with a major institution or the military is desired.

Physical Requirements:
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Work in a standing position in the dining facility and kitchen area for 6 to 7 hours (excluding break and meal periods)
- Some bending and stooping
