Job Description

Job Title: Food Service Worker
Location: Wonderspring – New Market West Center

Pay: $16.75 per hour

Wonderspring, a nonprofit early childhood education organization, is seeking a dedicated Part-time Food Service Worker to support our New Market West Center located in West Philadelphia.

About the Position
  • Organize, prepare, and deliver breakfast, lunch, and snacks to classrooms
  • Monitor food and supply inventory
  • Maintain accurate records to ensure compliance with food program requirements.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, equipment, and appliances regularly.
  • Check and log refrigerator and freezer temperatures daily, reporting any issues
  • Update and distribute food allergy and preference lists.
 
  • Qualifications
  • Minimum, High School Diploma/GED
  • Food Manager's Certification, required
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with coworkers and children

Founded in 1964, Wonderspring is a regional leader in providing families throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania with affordable, high quality educational environments for children 6 weeks to 12 years old. Today, Wonderspring serves over 1,000 children through its 10 early childhood and school age sites in Montgomery and Philadelphia Counties.
