Your role:
You’re not just selling — you’re building partnerships. As our Food Service Sales Rep, you’ll drive growth by:
- Pursuing new business and turning prospects into raving fans.
- Managing relationships like a pro — solving problems, sharing insights, and keeping our customers ahead of the curve.
- Collaborating with procurement, operations, and our incredible customer success team to deliver on-point solutions.
- Staying sharp on market trends, competitor activity, and pricing strategies.
- Hitting your goals — and then setting new ones.
Your Impact:
- Client Acquisition & Retention: Identify potential customers, initiate contact, and foster strong, ongoing relationships.
- Product Promotion: Present and sell our diverse product range to new and existing clients, tailoring offerings to their specific needs.
- Market Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends, monitor competitor activities, and identify new opportunities.
- Negotiation & Closing: Negotiate terms to achieve win-win agreements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Sales Targets: Meet and exceed sales objectives, contributing to the company's growth and success.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Passion for the Food Industry: A deep appreciation for food and a commitment to delivering quality products to clients.
- Proven Sales

Experience: 2+ years of experience in foodservice or perishable product sales — you know your way around a kitchen AND a spreadsheet.
- Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal skills to establish and maintain strong client relationships.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement strategies to capitalize on opportunities.
- Goal-Oriented: A self-starter mindset with the hustle to back it up.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with CRM software (we use HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

About Pacific Coast Fresh Company

Pacific Coast Fresh Company (previously Pacific Coast Fruit Company) was founded in 1977 by Emil Nemarnik in the historic Produce Row of Portland, Oregon. The company consisted of one 2,000 square foot warehouse and eight employees, four of whom were unpaid family members. Since then, we’ve expanded to become one of the largest, independent produce distributors in the Northwest. We’ve built a strong team over the years and, as Emil often said, "Four walls and a roof make a building, but people make a business."

We have two facilities – a 90,000 square foot warehouse and Fresh Cut center in Portland, Oregon, and a 83,000 square foot warehouse in Seattle, Washington, both conveniently located along the I-5 corridor to serve the entire Northwest region. We service a wide variety of customers including retailers, wholesalers, processors, restaurants, and more. Our produce programs include robust USDA Organic, local Oregon and Washington, and Fresh Cut options and we are proud to provide our customers with the freshest and healthiest produce available.

Our employees are expert food industry insiders and know how to tailor our services to meet your needs. We offer training on product handling as well as assistance in planning your specialty and seasonal programs. We believe we have the best customer service staff and they are available to help you seven days a week. Our goal is to not simply sell to our customers but offer them support every step of the way.
