Job Description

Are you working long hours, evenings, and weekends in hospitality, and ready for a change?

At NSF, we’re offering a unique opportunity to transition your hospitality experience into a rewarding auditor role with structured hours, career development, and great benefits.

This vacancy is specifically for Solihull/Coventry. Go and check out our other open roles here.

What We Offer:

  • Flexible Working: Monday to Friday. While travel to and from audits means it’s not strictly 9 - 5, you’ll enjoy a more predictable schedule than typical hospitality roles.
  • Real Career Development: If you already hold a Level 4 Food Safety qualification (or equivalent), we’ll fund your Level 4 Health & Safety training at no upfront cost. All we ask for is a 1-year commitment.
  • Localised Work, Less Travel: We keep your area local so you’re not spending hours on the road. That means more time at home and less time commuting.
  • Minimal Overnight Stays: Overnight stays are rare and only ever required if you choose to take them on.
  • Make a Visible Impact: You’ll visit restaurants, bars, and grocery stores, many you may already know as a customer, and help them meet high standards in food safety and compliance.

Including, but not limited to:

  • Complete food safety checks at client sites
  • Train and coach staff while on-site - we're compliance-seekers not fault-finders
  • Write up inspection results and share with client managers
  • Collect samples and send them to labs for testing
  • Plan your inspections to meet deadlines
  • Keep in touch with your team and client contacts
  • Jump in on other tasks when needed
  • Level 4 qualification in Food Safety (or equivalent)
  • Level 4 qualification in Health & Safety, is a plus – if you do not already hold this, NSF can provide the training
  • A degree in Environmental Health (or similar), a big plus
  • Able to carry out audits in Food, Health & Safety, and Fire
  • Can train safety advisors if needed
  • Being registered with CIEH or IOSH, a big plus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must have a full UK driving license
  • Ready and willing to travel
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and our easy-to-use tools
