Location: Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, Darby, PA
Position Purpose:
The Food Service Associate Processes diet orders and diet changes for assigned units for the hospital’s Food & Nutrition Patients Department.
As a “Food Service Associate” you will:
Assists in floor stock maintenance for assigned units.
Participates in tray assembly, delivery and retrieval, breaks down after meal service and cleans the kitchen as well as patient trays.
Participates in cold food production.
Efficiently and pleasantly visits patient rooms to obtain verbal menu.
Effectively communicates with dietician, shift leader or manager any patient comments or concerns or problems.
Assists in food preparation assembles prepared food for service, prepares salads, desserts, nourishments; prepares and stores all food according to HACCP standards.
Maintains HACCP Infection Control guidelines.
Demonstrates equipment safety: i.e., meat slicer, coffee urn, can opener, dishwasher.
Minimum Qualifications:
HS diploma or equivalency (preferred)
Barista or food service experience
