Food Service Associate
Under the direct supervision of the Nutritional Services Director or Supervisor, performs a variety of patient food service and dish duties, as well as other related tasks.
11:00am - 7:00pm with weekend and holiday rotation
Pay based on experience starting at $16.14
Responsibilities
Assembles nourishments, floor stocks and special diet foods as necessary., Complies with sanitation regulations and standards established by all regulatory agencies., Delivers food carts to patient care units. Returns carts to kitchen at designated times., Effectively participates in tray assembly of cold ticket items. May assist with hot items as needed., Ensures that all necessary items are located on the meal tray as it starts on the tray line. (Proper tray type, silverware, condiments, etc.), Ensures that returned trays / dishes are washed and sanitized promptly. Washes specified items by hand, e.g., pots, pans, knives. Puts clean dishes and utensils away., Maintains a safe work environment by cleaning as needed. Keeps work areas neat and tidy including walk-in refrigerators and storage areas. Performs special cleaning duties as assigned by the Food and Nutritional Services Director., Maintains the safe operation of all food service equipment., May assist in cafeteria as needed – serving, cleaning, cashiering., Prepares and delivers items as requested by patient care units or patients., Records and monitors all quality control indicators., Stocks all food supplies in accordance with regulatory guidelines., Sweeps and Mops floors as scheduled and as necessary.
