About the role:

We're looking for casual Food Service Assistants to work across our Northern Health network, including Northern Hospital (Epping), Broadmeadows Hospital (Jacana) and Bundoora Centre (Bundoora)

Key Responsibilities

Food Service Assistants:

• Ability to travel between Northern health sites Northern, Broadmeadows and Bundoora for shifts
• Maintain a high standard of food services in accordance with Food Safety Legislation and Food Services Procedures
• Preparation and presentation of patient meals such as salads, sandwiches and drinks
• Cleaning and sanitizing of patient meal trays, cutlery, crockery and trolleys
• Preparation of work stations including assembly of items and stocking of consumables

About you

• Demonstrate a positive attitude and drive to deliver strong customer service
• Previous experience in a hospital or aged care environment is desired
• Current Food Safety Certificate is required
• Flexibility to work a rotational roster; including early mornings, night shifts, weekends and public holidays
• Ability to travel between three sites
• Police Clearance, or ability to obtain, is essential
• DHS Working with Children Check (WWCC), or ability to obtain, is essential
• Evidence of immunisation for current influenza is essential
