We are seeking reliable and caring Food Service Assistants to join the dedicated team at Bentleys Aged Care – a warm, welcoming residence that is home to just 65 residents.

Unlike larger facilities with 100+ residents, Bentleys offers a more intimate, relationship-focused environment where you have the time to truly connect with residents and provide thoughtful personalised care. Here, every resident is known by name, valued and treated like family.

About the Role
Meals are the cornerstone of services at Bentleys Aged Care. You will play an important role in creating meaningful daily experiences, helping residents enjoy meals not just as routine but as a time of comfort, dignity and connection.

In this role, you will:
  • Assist with meal preparation, plating and service
  • Ensure dining areas are clean, welcoming and comfortable
  • Support residents with their individual mealtime needs and dietary requirements
  • Wash dishes and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment
  • Complete cleaning and food safety tasks in line with the Food Safety Program
  • Assist with basic record-keeping such as temperature checks and cleaning logs
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and care staff and report any concerns
About You
We are looking for someone who brings both skill and heart:
  • Current Food Handler’s Certificate (Food Safety)
  • Experience in food service / kitchen hand role
  • Friendly, patient and team-oriented
  • Reliable and dependable
  • Strong attention to hygiene and food safety
  • A genuine passion for supporting older people
