Job Description

The Patient Food Services Assistant Supervisor (FSAS) oversees the daily operations of the Patient Kitchen team, ensuring the safe preparation, delivery, and hygiene of patient meals. This role involves supervising staff, managing food storage and meal preparation, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, while promoting a safe and efficient work environment. This is a full-time opportunity requiring you to have rostering availability across 7 days 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively supervise, motivate, and communicate with a team.
  • Excellent time management abilities and a keen attention to detail to meet operational standards.
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and infection control, with the ability to apply these in a healthcare setting.
  • Positive, flexible approach to work, with a willingness to adapt to changes in work practices and continuous quality improvement.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and a collaborative mindset to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
