About the Role

Parkdale Aged Care is a warm and welcoming home in Melbourne’s southeast, operated by the family-owned Medical & Aged Care Group. We have exciting opportunities for both Permanent Part-Time and Casual Food Service Assistants to join our team. These roles are perfect for someone who is confident, proactive and takes pride in getting the job done to a high standard. You will play a key role in supporting our kitchen operations and ensuring residents receive quality meals in a safe and welcoming environment.

Permanent part-time candidates will be offered consistent, set shift patterns. Casual candidates will be engaged flexibly to support the team as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and food plating
• Serve meals and beverages to residents
• Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic kitchen and dining environment
• Follow food safety and infection control procedures
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and care staff

About You

• Confident, reliable and able to work efficiently
• Strong work ethic with a “get it done” attitude
• Team player with a positive approach
• Good communication and time management skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications & Experience

• Food Safety Certificate (required)
• Experience in hospitality or aged care — 1+ year preferred
• Understanding of hygiene and food safety practices (required)

Requirements

• Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Australian working rights
