The Woodland Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas:

Ensures that food, supplies, and equipment are available as needed and stored properly
Assists in the preparation of food for meals
Provides kitchen clean-up to facilitate sanitizing of all food service areas
Schedule:
π Off Sunday and Monday
π TuesdayβThursday: 11:00amβ8:00pm
π€ FridayβSaturday: 9:30amβ6:30pm
May supervise Job Corpsβ Work-Based Learning students assigned to the department.
π Transfers food, supplies, and equipment between storage areas and kitchen/cafeteria
π Washes, peels, and cores fruit and vegetables as necessary
πͺ Sets up and takes down tables and chairs
π½ Scrapes, washes, and stores dishes, pots, pans, and utensils
π§Ή Clears, cleans, and sanitizes kitchen, cafeteria, and food storage areas
βοΈ Cleans refrigerators, stoves, ovens, and other kitchen equipment
π§½ Sweeps, mops, waxes, and strips wax from floors
π Cleans and stores trash containers in appropriate areas
π§ Degreases and sanitizes vent screens and filters
π Provides superior customer service
π Produces quality work in a thorough, timely, and accurate manner
π Maintains attendance, accountability, and productivity standards
π Plans, prioritizes, and organizes assignments to meet goals and deadlines
π‘ Understands and applies job knowledge to complete responsibilities

π High School Diploma or equivalent required Advanced degrees preferred.
π΄ Experience in a food services operation desired
π₯‘ Ability to obtain local Food Handling/Health Certification required
Physical requirements:
πββοΈ Sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching
πͺ Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and/or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance
