Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the food service department, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service.
• Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and food handlers, to maintain productivity and adherence to safety standards.
• Oversee food preparation processes to ensure compliance with health regulations and dietary guidelines.
• Collaborate with the dietary department to create menus that cater to diverse nutritional needs.
• Train and mentor staff in food handling techniques, customer service, and best practices in hospitality.
• Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure seamless operations.
• Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Implement cost control measures while maintaining quality standards in food service.

Skills

• Strong background in hospitality management with experience in restaurant management or food service operations.
• Proficient in food preparation techniques and knowledgeable about safe food handling practices.
• Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
• Strong communication skills to interact with staff, customers, and vendors professionally.
• Ability to work collaboratively with various departments, including dietary services.
• Experience in bartending is a plus for establishments that serve beverages alongside meals.
• A passion for helping others and providing outstanding customer service.
