Fort HealthCare is a patient-centered hospital and healthcare system serving individuals, businesses and families in Jefferson, Dane, and Walworth Counties. We are seeking a Food Service Aide III – Cafeteria Preparer to join our Food Service team.

The Food Service Aide III–Cafeteria Preparer performs various duties related to the cafeteria including food preparation and assembly, food portioning, customer service, and sanitation in the cafeteria.

Responsibilities of this position include:

• Is responsible for assisting cooks with café food.
• Prepares and sets up salad bar and dessert/sandwich refrigerator. Sets up cafeteria steam tables with proper sized pans.
• Practices proper food handling procedures following the HACCP guidelines. Uses proper garnishing techniques and procedures.
• Practices proper food storage and labeling. Stocks soda, checks dates to ensure that no items have expired; ensures coffee machine is operating properly.
• Able to perform duties for Food Server Aide and Expediter positions.
• Operates cash register; makes deposits.
• Is responsible for recording all refrigerator and salad bar temperatures.

Requirements of this position include:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a commitment to customer service
• Ability to take direction & follow instructions from supervisors
