Food Server (Part-Time) – Omaha

Starting Wage: $7.00/hour (plus tips)

DESCRIPTION

The Part-Time Food Server is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest dining experience by providing attentive, efficient, and friendly food and beverage service in accordance with outlet standards. This position takes food and beverage orders, provides beverage and alcohol service, maintains table presentation, completes assigned side work, and upholds all health, safety, and service standards. The Food Server plays a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring every guest receives outstanding hospitality reflective of WarHorse Gaming’s service excellence.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / DUTIES

Essential duties and tasks that must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation include the following:

  • Practices, supports, and maintains the Mission, Vision, and Values of WarHorse Gaming, LLC.

  • Provides prompt, courteous, and high-quality service to all restaurant guests.

  • Greets guests upon arrival and departure in a friendly and professional manner.

  • Accurately takes food and beverage orders and delivers items in a timely manner.

  • Serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in compliance with all policies and regulations.

  • Maintains thorough knowledge of all menu items, specials, and beverage offerings.

  • Maintains guest tables throughout the dining experience by clearing, resetting, and replenishing china, glassware, and silverware as needed.

  • Completes daily side work including polishing china, glassware, and silverware.

  • Cleans, organizes, and assists with deep cleaning of assigned restaurant areas.

  • Busses tables and supports overall dining room operations.

  • Assists hosts, food runners, and fellow servers as needed to ensure efficient service.

  • Records guest preferences in the reservation system to enhance personalized service.

  • Recognizes frequent guests and delivers consistent, elevated service.

  • Maintains a neat, professional, and clean appearance at all times.

  • Complies with all department and company policies, procedures, internal controls, and government regulations.

  • Attends required meetings, trainings, and service briefings.

  • Thanks guests and invites them to return, ensuring a positive final impression.

  • Provides outstanding guest and team member service at all times.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Employment Status: Part-Time

Education & Experience:

  • Must be at least 19 years of age

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • Three (3) years of serving and/or customer service experience preferred

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong commitment to guest service excellence and ethical conduct

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume hospitality environment

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to interact with mobile devices and touch screen technology

  • Previous experience using smartphones and/or tablet applications preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Responsible for selling, serving, or distributing alcoholic beverages: Yes

  • Ability to secure and maintain a Nebraska Gaming License

  • Food Handler Certification (preferred)

  • ServSafe Certification (preferred)

  • TIPS Alcohol Certification (preferred)

WORK HOURS

Due to the nature of the hospitality and entertainment industry, this Part-Time position requires the ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods based on operational needs.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Travel is not required for this position.
