Job Description

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain food safety and quality programs in accordance with regulatory standards and internal policies
• Conduct thorough risk assessments and audits of food safety practices across all operations
• Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to address and resolve food safety issues
• Train and educate staff on food safety protocols and best practices to promote a culture of compliance
• Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance and improvement
• Prepare and present reports on food safety metrics and compliance status to senior management

Other duties as assigned.

Basic Job Requirements

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in food science, Biology, Microbiology, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, or regulatory compliance
• In-depth knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and relevant food safety regulations (FDA, USDA, etc.)
• Experience in conducting audits and implementing corrective actions

• Certification as a Food Safety Manager or equivalent

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and regulations
• Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and continuous improvement methodologies

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• A proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks

To ensure compliance with safety, health and security requirements in the contract, employee will possess the ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language at the intermediate level as necessary to perform assigned job functions.
