Your Recipe for Impact — What You’ll Do

As a Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager, you play a vital role in protecting our guests, our brand, and our teams by ensuring the food we serve is safe, compliant, and consistently high quality. You’ll lead supplier food safety programs, support new product launches, and proactively reduce risk through strong partnerships and data‑driven decisions.

Day-to-Day Ingredients — Responsibilities

As a Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager, you will:

  • Lead supplier FSQA programs to meet company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Review audits and inspections; drive corrective actions to resolution
  • Conduct supplier audits, product evaluations, and sampling activities
  • Strengthen supplier food safety, sanitation, and quality systems
  • Own and maintain accurate, compliant food product specifications
  • Support commercialization and launch of new and reformulated products
  • Partner with Operations, Product Development, Category, and Risk teams
  • Monitor FSQA calibration activities and address gaps or deviations
  • Support food safety, quality, and illness investigations
  • Maintain complete and accurate FSQA records and documentation
  • Contribute to supplier programs, tools, and training improvements

What You Bring to the Table — Required Experience

As a Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager, you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Safety, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5+ years of food safety or quality experience in food manufacturing, foodservice, or restaurants
  • Working knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, FDA Food Code, and regulatory requirements
  • Experience reviewing supplier audits and managing corrective actions
  • Familiarity with GFSI‑recognized schemes (e.g., SQF, BRC, or equivalent)
  • Strong communication, problem‑solving, and cross‑functional collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools

Extra Toppings — Desired Experience

As a Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager, we prefer you to have:

  • CP‑FS, REHS/Registered Sanitarian, or similar certification
  • HACCP certification
  • PCQI and/or supplier audit certification experience
  • Experience improving supplier performance and food safety systems
  • Experience supporting product commercialization or launch initiatives

Where & How You’ll Work

This role is based at the San Antonio Home Office, working on‑site Monday through Thursday with remote flexibility on Fridays. In this role, you’ll have strong collaboration with leadership, across cross-functional teams, and with external partners to align capabilities with restaurant realities. The work environment is fast‑paced and requires sound judgment, strategic thinking, and strong collaboration skills. Full‑time availability is required, with occasional extended hours based on business needs, along with occasional travel to properties, project sites, and external meetings. Candidates must reside within commuting distance of the San Antonio Home Office.
