We are looking for a Food Safety Auditor in SGS, UAE. The candidate will ensure the most timely and accurate onsite audits and trainings as per client requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) relevant to the Auditor role, optimizing resource efficiency during execution.
  • Provide technical and operational support to clients by addressing their requirements and integrating them into the audit coordination process.
  • Report to the Operations Manager any deviations in job processing or execution, as well as any issues that may impact the organization at administrative, operational, or financial levels.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Train new auditors and back-office coordinators, assess and qualify trainees.
  • Review new client requirements and deliver training sessions to auditors accordingly.
  • Communicate office policies and new requirements to auditors, while fostering teamwork among auditors and back-office coordinators.
  • Report to the Operations Manager on operational and quality objectives in line with defined KPIs.
  • Conduct onsite audits and prepare comprehensive audit files.
  • Verify clients’ management system requirements and ensure compliance.
  • Act as Deputy Technical In-Charge for applicable schemes.
  • Perform inspections and damage surveys as required.
  • Monitor business trends and support budget forecasting.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for client claims and complaints related to audit scheduling and execution.
  • Consolidate auditors’ inputs and update the Profiler database, ensuring relevant information is shared with the Technical Manager for evaluation.
  • Review audit reports and sample analysis reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Promote and monitor effective risk management practices.
  • Maintain and update HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies and procedures.
  • Ensure implementation of HSE requirements in daily operations.
  • Halt any activity deemed unsafe and intervene in case of unsafe acts or conditions.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.

Qualifications

Professional qualifications

• University degree or equivalent professional qualification

• Minimum 3 year of work-related experience as a food safety auditor

• Technical knowledge on auditing procedures, classification and valuation

• Experience in auditing services is an advantage
