It is the primary responsibility of the food runner to assist the servers by cleaning tables and keeping side stations clean and well stocked as well as assisting the kitchen with expediting the service process in order to maintain the flow of service throughout the dining room.

  • Assist the food servers and bus person with cleaning and resetting the tables
  • Perform all side work duties assigned and maintain the cleanliness of the restaurant within health code standards.
  • Describe menu items accurately always using proper verbiage
  • Answer any menu questions including specials, beverage menu and wine menu
  • Set-up / Replenish side station with polished china, glassware and silverware throughout the shift
  • Set-up / Replenish side station with ice, dry goods, paper products, juices, cut fruits, and garnishes throughout the shift
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the shift
  • Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety, and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees and guests
  • Notify management of maintenance repair issues
  • Complete other job- related duties as requested by management

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum six (6) months of related experience required
  • Able to work a varied work schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to change.
