About Us:

Provider Contract Food Service specializes in providing culinary and hospitality excellence to our clients for the past 18 years. Our location at the Del Rey Yacht Club in Marina Del Rey, CA, is currently looking to add to our team in the position of Food Expeditor/Food Runner.

About the Job:

The food expeditor/food runner acts as a liaison between the kitchen staff and the waitstaff to ensure a steady workflow throughout the various departments the restaurant.

Example of Food Expeditor/Food Runner Responsibilities:

1) Facilitate kitchen orders.

2) Prioritize outgoing meals to ensure that no orders are lost, forgotten, or delayed.

3) Maintain quality control of out going food.

4) Facilitate communication between the front of house so that different departments of the restaurant can communicate without leaving their stations

5) Help monitor food safety.

Our Ideal Candidate Brings:

  • Previous hospitality experience in a high-volume restaurant
  • Ability to stand, lift and bend for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to bend and lift to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to tolerate exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials.
  • Ability to work and remain focused in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

(PHI), the parent company of Provider Contract Food Service, Market Broiler and MB Grille Restaurants, has made it our goal to provide guests and clients alike with the highest level of hospitality and value possible.
