Job Title: Food Production Supervisor

Location: Philly, PA

Job Type: Full-time

We are a leader in the food industry renowned for its premium deli meats and artisanal cheeses, is seeking a qualified and experienced Food Production Supervisor to join our dynamic team. As a Food Production Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating daily operations within our food production facility.

Responsibilities:

  1. Supervision and Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of production workers, ensuring a positive and efficient work environment. Provide guidance and support to meet production goals while maintaining high-quality standards.
  2. Production Oversight: Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality control standards and adherence to recipes. Identify and address any issues that may impact production efficiency or product quality.
  3. Training and Development: Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching to enhance their skills. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the production team.
  4. Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure working environment. Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to mitigate potential hazards.
  5. Inventory Management: Collaborate with the inventory control team to manage raw materials and finished goods inventory. Ensure accurate record-keeping and timely reporting.
  6. Communication: Foster effective communication between production teams and other departments. Relay important information regarding production schedules, quality concerns, and any other relevant updates.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience: Previous experience in a supervisory role within food production or manufacturing is preferred.
  2. Knowledge: Understanding of food safety standards, quality control processes, and production operations.
  3. Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
  4. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey instructions clearly and interact effectively with team members.
  5. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues promptly, ensuring smooth production processes.
  6. Flexibility: Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing production demands.
