From our new and modern Yatala depot, our in-house bakery supplies our 25 lunch vans with fresh and delicious pies, sausage rolls, cakes and slices on a daily basis.

As an experienced bakery professional or passionate home baker, join our Bakery team on a casual basis. Experienced or not, if you have the drive and passion, we have the opportunity for you.

Establish a great work-life balance with these rare bakery hours, which we can be flexible with for the right person!

Please note - Due to the variety and volumes of our products, candidates should be aware that working with certain food products, e.g. meats, dairy or gluten-based items is a requirement of this role.

• Shift length 5-8 hours, working 3-5 shifts per week
• Monday to Friday shifts from 5:00am – finish time variable, generally around 1pm
• Adult casual rate (21yo +) $33.19 per hour, reduced rate for younger applicants but all welcome to apply!

Role tasks and opportunities

• Preparation and weighing of ingredients
• Prepping cakes
• Working on the preparation bench
• Unloading stock
• Practicing cleanliness and hygiene at all times

Interested?...

If you have experience in a bakery role, great! However, this is not essential as full training is provided

• Knowledge of baking, cooking and food is good, having PASSION for it is essential!
• You have a CAN DO, hardworking attitude
• You take pride in your reliability, punctuality and strong work ethic
• You thrive in a fast paced environment, work unsupervised and love being a valued, contributing member of a supportive team
• Work in a high temperature environment with commercial stoves and ovens
• The physical nature of the role requires bending, lifting up to 25kg, twisting, stretching and reaching forward on a frequent basis, with repetitive tasks also requiring the ability to stand in the one place for extended periods of time
