Job Description

All associates in the Food Production facilities are responsible for ensuring excellent food quality and following all KVAT Food Safety policies and procedures. The Food Production Associate assists in preparing all daily food items in the Commissary.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Prepare and produce quality food products to exceed our customer & company expectations.
• Assist in stocking and rotating various products as needed.
• Ensure all packaged products for self-service are in proper packaging with correct weights and ingredients to satisfy local weights and measures regulations.
• Know and follow all KVAT Food Safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a positive attitude; create an atmosphere of friendliness and fun through flexibility and teamwork.
• Keep workstation neat and clean; this includes performing tasks such as washing dishes, mopping, etc.
• Accommodate the department's staffing needs by cross-training in multiple positions, as requested.
• Ensure efficient and courteous customer service to store locations in support of the company mission to “Run the Best Store in Town!”
• Responsible for attending on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to use a telephone, and other equipment as needed.
• Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands.
• Food Service experience is preferred.
• Adhere to KVAT food safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Ability to work as part of a team and interact with customers of various socioeconomic levels. This includes vendors, guests, and KVAT corporate representatives.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks, and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals daily.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies.
