Introduction
A well-established Irish food production company is seeking a Process Operator to join its production team. This role involves working across yoghurt production, butter making, and packing operations, ensuring products are manufactured to the highest quality and food safety standards.

You will be responsible for operating and monitoring production equipment across multiple stages of dairy processing. From pasteurisation and fermentation through to churning and packing, your role will be to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency at every stage.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production equipment including pasteurisers, homogenisers, vats, cooling systems, and filling machines
- Control fermentation processes to achieve the correct consistency and flavour
- Measure and adjust ingredients such as milk solids and cultures
- Operate butter churning and packing equipment in line with production schedules
- Carry out CIP (Clean-in-Place) procedures to maintain hygiene standards
- Monitor critical control points in line with HACCP requirements
- Conduct quality checks including pH, temperature, viscosity, and visual inspection
- Accurately record production and quality data
- Identify and report equipment faults or irregularities
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment
- Follow all health and safety procedures at all times
- Assist with light maintenance where required
Qualifications and Skills
- Solid understanding of food or dairy production processes
- Knowledge of pasteurisation and fermentation principlesExperience working with PLC-controlled systems is an advantage
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting ability
- Familiarity with CIP systems
- Understanding of allergen control and food safety standards
- Basic microbiology awareness
