Schedule Details/Additional Information:
every other weekend opening shift of 5:30am - 2pm/ Saturday & Sundays. Additional vacation/coverage and hours as needed. 16 hours every two weeks.
Pay Range
$21.85 - $32.80
Major Responsibilities
Coordinates Food & Nutrition Services by leading and directing line staff work activities according to the established position descriptions.
Coordinates Food and Nutrition activities to ensure overall provision of quality patient and customer care are consistent with Advocate Aurora Health policies and procedures.
Demonstrates working knowledge of sanitation requirements.
Addresses patient, visitor, and staff issues. Makesappropriate referrals for follow up.
Monitors the physical work environment to ensure regulatory agency requirements are met (i.e., Board of Health, Accrediting Organization, and OSHA).
Addresses personnel issues to promote a productive and healthy work environment.
Responsible for maintaining adequate levels of communication.
Works with the employees to guide them through their workday
Coordinates resource management
Provides directions to associates to locateappropriate supplies and equipment needed for operations.
Minimum Job Requirements
Education
High School Graduate
Certification / License
ServSafe Food Handler certification issued by the National Restaurant Association needs to be obtained within 1 year.
Work Experience
5 years in Food Service-related position
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Ability to proficiently speak, read and write English as related to essential job activities
Articulate in communication
Strong organizational, motivational problem solving and supervisory skills
Proficient knowledge of computer applications and systems
Demonstrated ability to manage, motivate and develop staff.
Able to work flexible hours which include holidays, nights and weekends
Able to meet time constraints in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance
For lifts greater than 35 pounds, lifting equipment is expected to be used or lifted with at least one other associate when available.
