Job Description

Seymour Health are seeking individuals with hospitality experience to assist in the preparation, presentation and service of meals.

In this fast paced and varied environment, you will take pride in your work, have a friendly and positive work attitude and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

It is important that you have the flexibility to cover offered shifts - Monday to Sunday across morning, afternoon or nights, including public holidays as required.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Prepare, plate, distribute and collect patient meals
  • Provide meal and beverage service to wards & patients and residents in aged care
  • Basic food preparation including making sandwiches, plating and heating of meals
  • Cleaning duties

About you:

  • Current Food Handlers Certificate (Health HLTFS207C) or willingness to obtain
  • Contribute effectively to a team environment and independently as required
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility to cover leave as required

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
