Job Description

We are seeking expressions of interest for Casual Food & Domestic Assistant (Pantry) to support our essential services team at Beechworth Health Service.

About the Role:

  • Stocking unit kitchens with snacks, milk, and condiments for patients & Staff.
  • Washing dishes, sanitizing food trolleys, and maintaining a hygienic pantry environment.
  • Receiving and distributing delivery of stores items.
  • Distributing trays to patient rooms, pouring beverages, and collecting dirty trays after mealtimes.
  • Ensuring patients receive the correct meals for their specific medical needs.
  • Ensure that daily checklists, quality audit tools are completed as required.

About You:

  • Evidence of ability to work to a high standard with minimal supervision and commitment to work as part of a team
  • Evidence of interpersonal skills, with a friendly manner when dealing with residents, patients, clients, staff & community members
  • Genuine desire to work in the hospitality service and perform cleaning duties within a health service environment
  • Evidence of good personal hygiene standards and understanding of BHS infection control policies and procedures
  • Evidence of willingness to work weekends and variable shifts as required
  • Evidence of contribution to build a positive team culture
  • Excellent work ethic and time management skills
