About this work area

Thanks to us, customers, co-workers and people at home can have a better everyday life through food that’s good for both people and planet. Together we serve more than 660 million customers yearly at the IKEA restaurants worldwide, underlining our Scandinavian heritage by offering a modern taste of Sweden. We also offer a variety of foods in our bistros and in the “Swedish Food market”. We are a diverse group of people who all live by the motto: Laughter is brightest in the place where the food is!

Together as a team

Why is working at IKEA so much more than just a job?

We are a company that genuinely cares about our people and their lives. For us, it is important that you feel respected, valued and included. Whatever your role at IKEA, you will enjoy a wide range of benefits. Here are just a few of them:

We offer you a fair and attractive salary, with additional compensation for night and weekend shifts. You will also receive financial support for transportation and meals, and you will always have access to freshly prepared meals (including meat and vegetarian options) at the IKEA co-worker restaurant, as well as free drinks and snacks such as coffee, soft drinks and fruit.
We know how important your free time is, which is why you will receive a holiday voucher every year.
Have an extra room you would like to renovate? As an IKEA co-worker, you will enjoy discounts on all our products.
We believe that every one of us contributes to achieving — and exceeding — our goals. This is the idea behind our unique performance-based bonus programme, One IKEA Bonus, which rewards us for growing our business — together!
Your health and wellbeing are top priorities for us, which is why we offer you private medical insurance and life insurance. We know that everyone may need some extra support with life’s challenges and everyday demands from time to time. That’s why you have access to 24/7 support from external experts whenever you need help with professional, personal or emotional matters, as well as legal or financial advice.
There are plenty of opportunities to grow and develop, so we offer a wide range of online training courses through our learning platform. And if you would like to change your career path or move to a different role, you don’t need to leave IKEA to do so. We offer many opportunities — with numerous examples of co-workers who have changed roles, locations or even countries while staying within IKEA.
