Job Description

Crystalbrook Riley is a five-star luxury hotel in Cairns, where contemporary elegance meets a relaxed, tropical spirit.

Always living in the moment, Crystalbrook Riley brings together striking design, thoughtful luxury and a strong connection to place. With an environmentally conscious approach, a celebration of the contemporary and a passion for elevated guest experiences, Crystalbrook Riley offers sophisticated accommodation, vibrant dining, distinctive events and memorable moments shaped by the energy, colour and spirit of Cairns.

Bold, stylish and effortlessly welcoming, Crystalbrook Riley is more than a hotel. It is a place to connect, celebrate and experience luxury with personality.

The Opportunity:

Paper Crane is Crystalbrook Riley’s vibrant restaurant and bar, bringing together bold Asian-inspired flavours, creative cocktails and the relaxed energy of tropical Cairns. From breakfast through to dinner, the venue evolves throughout the day, offering memorable experiences for hotel guests and Cairns locals alike.

We are seeking an experienced bar professional to step into a Food & Beverage Supervisor role and lead the beverage experience at Paper Crane.

Working alongside the Venue Manager & Food & Beverage Manager, you will lead the day-to-day bar operation, inspire and support the team, and maintain consistently high standards across service, presentation and product quality. You will also oversee stock and ordering, contribute to the continued evolution of the beverage offering, and support the wider venue across dining service, events and celebrations.

This is a part-time, permanent opportunity offering 24-38 hours per week, across a 7-day rotating roster.

The Talent:

You are a passionate and knowledgeable bar professional who brings confidence, personality and a genuine love of hospitality to every service. You enjoy sharing your knowledge, developing others and creating beverage experiences that feel considered, creative and memorable.

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

  • Previous experience within a quality bar, restaurant or luxury hotel environment
  • Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits and wine, with an interest in current beverage trends
  • Confidence leading, motivating and developing a bar team
  • An understanding of stock management, ordering and the commercial drivers of a successful bar
  • The flexibility to support the wider restaurant operation, functions and events
  • A warm, guest-obsessed approach and a natural ability to recommend and elevate the experience
  • Strong communication, organisation and attention to detail
  • The ability to remain composed and lead confidently throughout busy services
  • A current QLD Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate
  • Availability across mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays

Why Us:

At Crystalbrook Collection, you will work alongside exceptional people in a supportive, passionate and diverse environment. We are proud to offer a range of industry-leading benefits that support your lifestyle, career and wellbeing, including:

  • 50% F&B discount across all Crystalbrook restaurants and bars
  • $99 room rates and a generous friends and family discount
  • Enhanced parental leave and lifestyle benefits
  • A commitment to a green future through sustainable luxury practices
  • Access to our internal mobility program and team reward schemes
  • Online learning and training platforms and tailored career development pathways
  • A culture of collaboration, diversity and elevated experiences
  • Limitless career opportunities in a fast-growing, dynamic environment
  • Regular service recognition and team engagement events
