Job Description

As a Food & Beverage Catering Server, you will be reporting to the Manager of Catering, serving food and beverage to patrons in the designated catering locations at WinSport and offsite locations.

What you will be doing:

  • Assist the team in setting up and tearing down event spaces to the standard required
  • Prepare all silverware, glassware, and additional required items for service functions
  • Serve food and beverage to guests efficiently and courteously for all internal and external events, including meetings, dinners, weddings, exhibitions, external events, concessions, and sporting/live music/entertainment events
  • Perform housekeeping tasks appropriate to the catering facilities and report any property damage or unsafe working conditions
  • Maintain supplies and equipment within the department
  • Strong ability to work within a team environment as well as independently
  • Ability to follow directions and provide excellent customer service to WinSport clients
  • Demonstrate a safe work practice by adhering to WinSport safety policies
  • Review all departmental communication and adhere to guidelines set by WinSport

What you bring:

  • Previous experience as a server is required
  • Superior organizational skills and efficiency
  • Strong verbal communication skills when dealing with guests and Team Members
  • Display professionalism at all times
  • ProServe certified
  • Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver License is considered an asset

You will be:

  • Walking and standing for extended periods of time
  • Frequently pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying up to 25lbs
  • Mobile and working in a physical environment
  • Working a schedule that includes evenings, weekends and holidays when necessary

Employment Information

  • Seasonal Contract with full time and part time hours available
  • Holiday and weekend availability is required.
  • Compensation for this position is $16/hour + tips
