To support this ambition, we are looking for a Food Application Technologist
Responsibilities / Tasks
As a Food Application Technologist, you play a key role in supporting and advising customers on food processing applications. Your focus lies on further processing, preparation, and marination within segments such as meat, fish, and plant-based products. You will start as a broadly oriented generalist and gradually develop into a specialist within one of these focus areas. Most of your work will take place on-site at customer locations or via remote support, with occasional activities at our Technology Centre in Bakel.
Roles and responsibilities:
Act as a technical application expert and helpdesk, supporting customers with questions on processing, preparation, and marination equipment.
Translate production requirements into optimal process parameters, combining technical insight with hands-on process knowledge.
Analyze production results and communicate insights clearly to customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders.
Contribute to the sharing and development of application knowledge within your team and across the wider organization.
Advise customers on food safety, hygiene (HACCP / hygienic design), efficiency, and yield optimization.
Take a proactive role in innovation and development projects, supporting improvements in processes and products.
Support the sales organization by identifying opportunities and generating leads.
Act as a trusted partner and ambassador at customer sites.
Your Profile / Qualifications
Bachelor, higher education in food technology or knowledge by experience in Food Application (5+ years’ experience in relevant food manufacturing environment).
Willing to learn; hands-on mentality. Basic technical knowledge (mechanical) to be able to adjust machine setups.
The job requires regular frequent international travel to our customers.
Since travelling is big part of the job, base location is less important.
Excellent reporting and communication skills to customers and other stakeholders, self-supporting team player.
Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
