Centra Behavioral Health Hospital is a brand-new 72 bed behavioral health facility opening in 2026. We offer high-quality, compassionate care for a wide variety of patients in need. Our teams provide evidence-based, transformational care for a broad range of mental health concerns in a compassionate, comfortable environment.

How you'll contribute

A Food and Nutritional Service Worker who excels in this role:

• Collaborates with the Dietary Manager and Registered Dietitian to support menu planning and meet patient-specific nutritional needs.

• Stores and rotates food and consumable items in compliance with health department regulations and hospital guidelines.

• Adheres to FIFO (First In, First Out) rotation standards, ensuring no expired products remain on-site, and properly dates and labels all food items.

• Maintains accurate documentation and monitors temperatures from delivery through service.

• Follows all sanitation and food safety protocols, including proper food‑handling procedures and the use of service utensils and gloves.

• Ensures equipment is cleaned according to safety and sanitation standards. Reports equipment malfunctions promptly to the Dietary Manager.

• Prepares meals in accordance with the menu cycle and daily production sheets, with attention to presentation, flavor, portion control, and production accuracy.

• Maintains appropriate inventory levels at the beverage station.

• Prepares snacks and supplemental nourishments in alignment with resident preferences and physician orders.

What we're looking for

Applicants should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Food Safety/Sanitation certification is required as per state regulations.
• 1 year of experience in food service and/or preparation setting (restaurant, hospital, nursing center, hotel, etc) is preferred.
