Job Description

Responsibilities

Under the general direction of the Food and Nutrition Services Manager/Superisor, the Utility Clerk is responsible for assisting in and the maintaining of records in ordering, receiving, and stocking of inventory. Counts materials, equipment and supplies, in stock and maintains records manually or using computer. The Utility Clerk also assists in the unloading/loading of supplies ensuring deliveries are accurate and properly stocked within the Food and Nutrition Services Department to include other duties as assigned. Utility Clerk ensures sanitary and clean kitchen, galley and common areas. Contribute to the team efforts and showing good customer interactions, and professionalism for customers, fellow employees and all others with whom there is contact.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

High School Diploma / GED or one year equivalent experience/training required; relevant experience in lieu of High School Diploma/GED education will be considered.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

One-year experience in food stock and inventory preferred.

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

Serv Safe Certification required within 30 days of hire.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

Proficient in basic computer skills including email, Microsoft Word; etc. Use of a computer is required for the job. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
