
Responsible for serving meals and beverages to patrons in a prompt, correct and courteous fashion in any of the property's food and beverage outlets and banquet areas.
Demonstrate sanitary food handling and equipment safety, properly store and label food items, maintain standards of sanitation and food handling based on County, State and Federal regulations.
Maintain clean and neat work area.
Follow the Steps of service for the venue they are working as outlined in the venue policies and procedures.
Assure exceptional customer service to all patrons by communicating in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner at all times.
Must follow all cash handling SOP's of the venue they are working.
Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
Note - this position will not involve any function involving casino gambling by patrons.
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
Previous serving experience required.
Excellent customer service/communication skills essential.
Must have neat and clean appearance and adhere to the casino policy on dress code and be out-going.
Must have the ability to obtain and hold an Occupational License as required by the Indiana Horse Racing Commission. Must be certified in Serve Safe Alcohol Awareness, and Indiana State approve Alcohol Training. Hold an Indiana ATC {Alcohol & Tobacco Commission) License.
Position requires scheduling flexibility, may be required to work weekends, holidays, overnight, or overtime, based upon scheduling and business needs.

Horseshoe Indianapolis is a smoking establishment, therefore must be able to work in a smoking environment. Must be able to work in a highly populated fast-paced and noisy environment.
Access to general gaming floor, and may required access to the Employee Service Window {ESW) of the Cage to obtain F&B bank.
