Job Description

Why us?

Iconic architecture, a thriving culinary scene, beautifully landscaped public spaces, and an array of museums are just part of what draws visitors to the Windy City. At The Ritz-Carlton, Chicago, a luxury hotel set atop Water Tower Place in the historic Gold Coast, guests have every chance to explore the city—from shopping along Michigan Avenue to viewing famous works at the Art Institute. Yet with our hotel’s spa, rooftop lounge, locally inspired restaurant, indoor lap pool, and spacious accommodations overlooking the city, many guests discover their most memorable moments happen right here—through exceptional dining and service experiences.

As a Food & Beverage Intern, you will gain hands-on exposure to the daily operations that power a world-class luxury hotel. Working alongside experienced leaders and service professionals, you will learn the standards, service sequences, and attention to detail that define The Ritz-Carlton experience. From supporting restaurant, banquet, lounge, or in-room dining operations to assisting with guest engagement and event execution, you will build foundational skills in hospitality while contributing to meaningful moments for our guests.

Recognized as the gold standard of hospitality, The Ritz-Carlton selects only the most passionate and driven emerging professionals. As one of our Ladies and Gentlemen, you will reflect the values that make us the world’s finest luxury brand. Here, in a diverse environment where individual aspirations are supported and quality of life is enhanced, you will be inspired to learn, grow, and collaborate—developing your career while bringing special moments to life for our guests and each other.

The Food & Beverage Operations Management Intern will participate in a summer rotational program encompassing hotel operations, such as Restaurant, Bar, In-Room Dining and Cafe. Interns will gain first-hand experience into a chosen operational area of the hotel and earn valuable career-related knowledge for professional growth.
