Food & Beverage Attendant | Kangaroo Island, SA

About the Role We are seeking a personable and professional Food & Beverage Attendant to join our team at Southern Ocean Lodge, a globally acclaimed luxury lodge on Kangaroo Island's rugged south west coast. In this guest-facing role, you will provide warm, attentive service in our restaurant, bar, and lounge areas to create memorable dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly, efficient table service in the restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner
  • Engage with guests to understand their preferences and make tailored recommendations
  • Maintain expert knowledge of the lodge's food and beverage menus, including local ingredients, wine pairings and cocktails
  • Set up and maintain dining spaces to an impeccable standard
  • Assist with mise en place, polishing cutlery and glassware, and general restaurant preparation
  • Process payments and manage guest billing in the POS system
  • Participate in regular training on service standards, menu updates and F&B knowledge

About You The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar F&B role, preferably in a premium hotel, restaurant or resort
  • Genuine passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences
  • Confidence and charm in engaging with a discerning clientele
  • Excellent food and beverage knowledge, especially of South Australian wines
  • Impeccable grooming and presentation
  • Flexibility to work a roster including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol certification
