The Opportunity
Are you passionate about providing exceptional service while supporting a dynamic kitchen team? Braemar Hospital is looking for an enthusiastic Food and Beverage Attendant to join our team!
Working in the kitchen and hospital campus, reporting to the Executive Chef, the Food and
Beverage Attendant is responsible for:
- Preparing and serving a variety of high-quality beverages directly to our Patients.
- Ensuring excellent customer service by greeting and assisting patients, clients, and staff with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen by washing and sanitizing dishes.
- Cleaning and preparing our staff tearooms for daily meal breaks for our clients and staff.
- Assisting with food preparation and service as needed.
- Servicing and maintaining coffee machines throughout the hospital to ensure optimal performance.
- Serving rooms and clearing meal trays.
- Following our Food Control Plan, adhering to health and safety policy and regulations.
The position is for 35 hours a week, with morning shifts starting from 6:30am and late shifts finishing by 8:45pm. This role is inclusive of weekends on rotating rosters.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Be able to work autonomously, providing reliable support.
- Have proven experience in food and beverage or kitchen support roles.
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Not be afraid to roll up your sleeves and help with washing dishes.
- Have strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and quality.
- Have flexibility and adaptability to work in various roles within the kitchen department as needed.
- Be flexible with your ability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Be able to work in a team and be able to deliver consistent high standards.
