Job Title: Forklift Mechanical Technician (Full-Time)

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Forklift Mechanical Technician to oversee the inspection, maintenance, and repair of our fleet of diesel and electric forklifts, as well as lifting platforms. You will ensure equipment safety, diagnose technical issues, and maintain accurate records to minimize operational downtime.

Key Responsibilities

1. Preventive Maintenance & Inspection: Conduct routine inspections and scheduled maintenance for diesel and electric forklifts and lifting platforms, including oil/filter changes, lubrication, and tightening components.
2. Diagnostics & Emergency Repairs: Troubleshoot complex hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical faults, interpret diagnostic codes, perform emergency repairs, and conduct post-repair test runs to verify safety.
3. Inventory & Tool Management: Monitor spare parts consumption, submit timely procurement requests, and ensure all repair tools and equipment are safely stored and well-maintained.
4. Documentation & Record Keeping: Complete detailed maintenance and repair logs, establish comprehensive vehicle maintenance ledgers, and escalate unresolved technical issues promptly.
5. Safety & Team Collaboration: Strictly adhere to workshop safety standards (e.g., utilizing safety stands), identify and report potential equipment hazards, and collaborate with team members on urgent repair tasks.

Job Requirements

1. Education & Experience: Technical School/Vocational High School degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Repair. While we are open to various levels of experience, hands-on forklift repair experience and a valid Forklift Operator License are highly preferred.
2. Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of forklift hydraulic and electrical systems, with the ability to independently read fault codes, diagnose issues, and perform standard repairs.
3. Safety & Administrative Skills: Well-versed in machinery safety protocols. Competent in filling out technical ledgers and accurately identifying required spare parts for procurement.
4. Physical & Work Adaptability: In good physical health, disciplined, and willing to handle emergency repairs and occasional overtime as required by operations.
5. Language Skills: Basic conversational English skills are preferred to assist with international equipment documentation or team communication.
