Dezign Concepts is seeking an experienced FOIA/Privacy Act Analyst to respond to public and official requests for the review and release of classified and sensitive customer information. The successful candidate will process complex disclosure cases in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Privacy Act (PA), Executive Order 13526, and applicable Intelligence Community policies and procedures.
What You Will Do
- Respond to public and official requests for the review and release of classified and sensitive customer information under FOIA, PA, Executive Order 13526, and applicable IC policies and procedures.
- Process complex cases, including FOIA litigation and appeals, using extensive knowledge of FOIA and PA exemptions and administrative requirements.
- Conduct Mandatory Declassification Review (MDR) and Automatic Declassification Review (ADR) in accordance with Executive Order 13526.
- Coordinate taskings, searches, document collection, and consultations across internal IC components and external government agencies.
- Validate the adequacy of record searches and ensure relevant facts and case actions are accurately documented.
- Review case files to confirm that search responses, consultations, document reviews, correspondence, and other required actions are complete and properly documented.
- Monitor case progress, meet established deadlines, and coordinate workflow with government leads and other stakeholders.
- Prepare high-quality, grammatically correct work products requiring minimal government editing.
- Submit signed final response letters to requesters and close cases within three business days of government approval.
- Track and update case status accurately and promptly using government-designated customer tools.
- Provide input to annual compliance reports as directed by the Government.
- At government direction and in accordance with applicable law, help ensure ODNI information cleared for public release is available for public inspection, copying, or downloading.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
- Bachelor's degree and at least five years of relevant experience, or at least nine years of relevant experience without a degree.
- Demonstrated experience supporting FOIA, PA, MDR, and/or ADR case processing, including coordination, documentation, drafting correspondence, and interacting with requesters.
- Strong ability to review sensitive government records and ensure compliance with disclosure, privacy, and classification requirements.
- Excellent written communication skills and demonstrated ability to produce error-free, professionally formatted documents.
- Proficiency with case-management tools and document-handling systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to accurately document case actions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with FOIA case management within the Intelligence Community.
- Familiarity with FOIA records-tracking systems and experience with IC or ODNI case-management systems.
- Background in legal, paralegal, compliance, or records-management disciplines.
- Prior experience drafting official correspondence and coordinating with multiple government entities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
