Quality Assurance - FNQA Supervisor

Morgan Hill, CA

The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that PCBA assemblies and medical devices consistently meet quality standards and customer specifications. This role oversees product inspections, identifies and reports defects, maintains thorough documentation, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality concerns.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and support quality control inspectors to ensure consistent practices and professional growth
  • Collaborate with engineering and production to develop and improve inspection processes and documentation
  • Perform visual and QA inspections of PCBA assemblies and medical devices per IPC-A-610 standards and customer requirements
  • Review documentation (DHR, work instructions, drawings) for compliance
  • Conduct Out-of-Box Audits (OBA) and record defect data using relevant applications
  • Monitor and report quality metrics for continuous improvement
  • Communicate issues to appropriate teams and support corrective actions
  • Complete WIP transactions and other assigned tasks
  • Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement

Training, Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
  • IPC-A-610 knowledge; certification preferred
  • Experience inspecting PCBA and mechanical assemblies using microscopes and various tools
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents (drawings, BOMs, procedures)
  • Understanding of ESD, board handling, and safety practices
  • Proficient in Windows software and basic math
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and quality.
  • Must have the ability to lift and move parts weighing at minimum 15 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing English.
