The Role

A Technology Consultant for FMAX (Fidelity Managed Account Xchange) serves as the bridge between clients, product, technology, and distribution teams, translating complex platform capabilities into practical solutions that drive advisor adoption and business growth. They support product enablement by providing technical expertise and partnering with stakeholders to ensure successful implementation, optimization, and ongoing utilization of FMAX products and tools. This role will support the product and sales organization by supporting discussions related to architecture, integrations, and client needs. The primary responsibilities include:

  • Solutions Architect - Lead solution design and delivery for FMAX implementations, conversions, and platform integrations to ensure client’s needs can be addressed and incorporated
  • Product Enablement - Act as a subject matter expert on FMAX capabilities and broader Fidelity technology ecosystem to keep strategic clients updated on available features and upcoming enhancements
  • Release Management - Communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences by participating in client discussions on release notes, development items, and product roadmap updates to align their strategy with FMAX

The Expertise And Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree required. MBA, CFA or equivalent graduate degree a plus.
  • Deep technical knowledge of brokerage, advisory and trust solutions platforms
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience partnering with c-suite decision makers to lead solution design and delivery of end-to-end wealth management ecosystems and workflows for large complex enterprises
  • Ability to influence and inform the FMAX future strategy by representing the voice of the client, influencing product development.
  • Series 7 and 65 licenses required (pass within 90 days)
  • 15 plus years of financial services experience
  • Willingness to travel 60% Nationally

The Team

The Wealth Advisory Managed Solutions (WAMS) organization delivers innovative investment, advisory, and managed account solutions that help financial intermediaries and advisors serve clients more effectively. WAMS brings together product development, platform capabilities, investment expertise, and service support to enable scalable wealth management solutions across Fidelity’s distribution channels. Within WAMS, Fidelity Managed Account Xchange (FMAX) is a strategic wealth management platform that integrates financial planning, managed accounts, investment products, and advisory services into a streamlined advisor experience. FMAX supports advisors in delivering personalized investment solutions while improving operational efficiency and enhancing client outcomes. The FMAX Distribution team partners closely with product, technology, and investment professionals to drive platform growth, advisor adoption, and business results.

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model

Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.

The base salary range for this position is $110,000-225,000 USD per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
