Job Description

As a 5G SA Core-Ericsson EPC Specialist at Nokia, you will play a critical role in fault management and configuration of 5G SA Core networks. Collaborating closely with project teams, you will oversee design reviews and network integration activities while troubleshooting and handling customer issues. Your technical expertise in Ericsson Packet Core, cloud-native architecture, and E2E call flows will guide the team through complex configurations and improvements. By analysing feedback and coordinating with various stakeholders, you will help maintain optimal service quality and contribute to the advancement of innovative 5G solutions.

  • Fault management/configuration of 5G SA Core Network.
  • Coordination with Project teams for HLD/LLD/TOL/Design reviews
  • Hand in Hand coordination with project for network integration activities
  • Handle the Trouble ticket/CR within SLA
  • Customer Issue handling and ensuring the end customer services are maintained
  • MOP/WI preparation for the activities and new learnings
  • Prepare, implement and verify the configuration and integration of a Node / System
  • Coordinating with care team for finding and analysing the RCAs
  • Guiding team members to execute complex & critical configuration changes
  • Tracking of issues related to tools and timely escalation as per pre-defined matrix
  • Attending governance call with region and internal teams. Also responsible for analysing and implementation of feedback from customers.


Must-Have:

  • Require a bachelor's or master's degree in a related field
  • Typically, a minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in the Ericsson Packet Core Domain, specifically with 5G Core Nodes (AMF, SMF, UPF, NRF) and LTE Nodes (MME, SGW/PGW).
  • Hands-on experience with E2E call flows for 5G, LTE, and VoLTE systems
  • Strong understanding of LTE and 5G EPC/5G Core Architecture Interfaces and Protocols
  • Proficiency in Cloud Native Architecture, including Microservices, Kubernetes, and Containers
  • Ability to prepare, implement, and verify configurations and integrations of network nodes

Nice-To-Have:

  • Experience with IMS architecture and associated nodes
  • Familiarity with Service-Based Architecture concepts and Network Slicing
  • Knowledge of trouble ticketing systems and SLA management
  • Experience in governance calls and feedback detailed with stakeholders
  • Ability to guide team members through complex configuration changes
