Essential Functions:
Operate fluoroscopic imaging equipment (C-arm) to provide real-time visualization during spineproceduresincluding injections
Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to ensureaccuratepositioning, imaging quality, and procedural efficiency
Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety standards
Prepare procedure room, ensure proper equipment functionality, and troubleshoot imaging technology as needed
Assistwith patient positioning and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout procedures
Accurately document imaging procedures andmaintaincompliance with regulatory standards
Skills and Abilities:
Strongproficiencyin fluoroscopy and advanced imaging techniques
Knowledge of spinal anatomy and procedural workflows within orthopedic settings
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
Technicalproficiencywith PACS and Epic.
Qualifications
Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the American Medical Association.
Experience with fluoroscopy in orthopedic, surgical, or pain management settings preferred
Professional license or certification requirements:
Registered Radiology Tech by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (AART) or ARRT registry eligible.
Current CPR certificationrecommended
A Typical Day:
A typical day involves working alongside spine surgeons in procedural settings. The technologist prepares and calibrates fluoroscopy equipment, ensures all safety protocols are in place, andassistswith patient positioning. Throughout procedures, theyprovidereal-time imaging guidance to support precise needle placement and device positioning, while continuously monitoring radiation exposure. Between cases, they collaborate with clinical staff, document imaging records, and prepare for upcoming procedures
