
The Florida Transportation Academy-Construction Division Program Manager plays a key role in developing and sustaining the transportation workforce by strengthening the talent pipeline necessary to support the delivery of current and future FDOT Work Programs.
This role involves: Workforce Planning: including workforce needs analysis, identification of skill gaps, implementation of workforce action plans, and monitoring/evaluation of workforce plans; Training & Development: including assessment of training needs, design/implementation of training programs, coordination of training activities, and compliance with training requirements; and all other requisite management, supervision, and/or coordination necessary to effectively lead a major workforce development program. This position is also responsible for aligning workforce development training and curriculum requirements with the infrastructure, resources, and operational support necessary for successful program delivery. This role oversees the day-to-day operations of FDOT’s mobile training unit, which will be deployed throughout the State to support FDOT’s statewide infrastructure initiatives. The Florida Transportation Academy-Construction Division Program Manager plays a key leadership role in the mobile training unit and is stationed with the unit.
