The 50/50 raffle ticket staff is responsible for promotion and sales of Pirates Charities 50/50 raffle tickets during Spring Training. The primary goal of the staff is to sell raffle tickets to fans and educate the public about the rules of the raffle as well as its purpose, to raise funds for Pirates Charities. Staff must be present at least a half hour before gates open to receive location assignments, sign out equipment and review sales goals before each game. Staff are responsible for the safe return of equipment and cash once a winner is drawn for each raffle. Staff members will need to have strong customer service skills when promoting the raffle and interacting with fans purchasing raffle tickets.

Responsibilities

Primary

  1. Facilitating raffle ticket sales via electronic hand held device and/or PC.
  2. Educate fans about the rules and process of 50/50 raffles.
  3. Educate fans about Pirates Charities, the nonprofit beneficiary of 50/50 raffles.
  4. Ensure raffle tickets are only sold to fans 18 years of age or older.
  5. Effectively handle any issues that might arise from raffle ticket purchasers.
  6. Any other duties as assigned by Coordinator, Fan and Community Engagement.

Qualifications

Required

  1. Authorized to work lawfully in the United States.
  2. GED/High School Diploma
  3. One to two years’ customer service experience
  4. Ability to work evenings/weekends
  5. At least 18 years of age
  6. Experience using handheld electronic device (tablet/smartphone) preferred
  7. Experience using Microsoft operating system on a Personal Computer preferred
