Job Title: Floorman –
Offshore Jackup Rig

Location:
Offshore Qatar (North Field, Halul Island, or Contracted
Rigs)
Employment Type:
Rotational (e.g., 45 days on/28 days off)
Reporting To:
Driller / Rig Floor Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

1. Rig Floor Operations

·
Assist in
drilling, tripping, and
casing operations
under the Driller’s direction.

·
Handle
drill pipes, collars, and BHA
components
during connections.

·
Operate
manual tongs, slips, and
elevators
for pipe handling.

·
Maintain
rig floor cleanliness
to
prevent slips/trips hazards.

2. Equipment Maintenance

·
Perform
daily inspections
of
rig floor equipment (e.g., drawworks, catwalks, rotary table).

·
Assist in
preventive maintenance
(lubrication,
minor repairs).

·
Report defects to the
Assistant
Driller or Toolpusher
.

3. Deck & General Labor Support

·
Assist in
loading/unloading supply
vessels
(casing, drilling mud, tools).

·
Work with
roustabouts
to move
materials on deck.

Requirements

Qualifications & Certifications

Mandatory:

·
2+ years experience
as Floorman/Roughneck (offshore
preferred).

·
BOSIET/FOET with HUET
(Offshore Survival & Helicopter
Escape).

·
Qatar Ministry of Public Health Medical
Certificate
.

Preferred:

·
IWCF Level 1
(Well Control Awareness).

·
Rigging/Slinging Certification
(for cargo operations).

·
Arabic language basics
(helpful but not required).
