Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Floorman to join our team. This is a full-time position that offers competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for growth within the company. As a Floorman, you will play a critical role in the drilling process, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of drilling equipment and machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the rig-up and rig-down of drilling equipment, including handling and assembling drill pipes, drill collars, and other equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on drilling equipment, including changing out worn or damaged parts.
- Operate drilling machinery, such as tongs, slips, and elevators, under the direction of the driller.
- Monitor drilling operations and report any issues or concerns to the driller.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of drilling equipment and supplies.
- Keep the drilling floor and surrounding areas clean and free of hazards.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other personnel on the rig.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Floorman in the oil and gas industry.
- Experience operating drilling equipment and machinery.
- Knowledge of drilling operations and safety protocols.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work long hours and be on-call as needed.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
