Short Description

The Floor Technician keeps floors clean, safe, and well-maintained throughout the facility. Responsibilities include stripping, waxing, buffing, polishing, scrubbing, and carpet cleaning using the proper equipment and cleaning products. This role requires attention to detail, following safety procedures, and caring for equipment to help maintain a welcoming environment for employees, clients, and visitors. The Floor Technician must have reliable transportation, a valid U.S. driver’s license, and the ability to travel between job sites as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Cleans offices, hallways, common areas, and other assigned areas.
• Moves furniture before and after cleaning.
• Cleans, dusts, mops, strips, and waxes floors.
• Cleans or shampoos carpets.
• Pressure washes outside areas.
• Labels floor chemicals correctly.
• Cleans, maintains, and stores equipment and PPE proficiently.
• Keeps an inventory of floor areas and schedules cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Reports maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Assists with the hazardous waste collection as requested by the client.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous experience in floor care or commercial cleaning preferred.
• Ability to operate floor care equipment, including buffers, scrubbers, and carpet extractors.
• Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, cleaning products, and safe equipment use.
• Reliable transportation and a valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Ability to travel between job sites as needed.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, and move cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and collaborate with a team.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Availability to work the required schedule, including evenings or weekends as needed.
